There is a new and disturbing trend going on in and around the Federal Capital Territory where several people have fallen victim of being kidnapped and robbed after using ATM's situated outside Banking premises in broad day light.At least Seven of such cases are reported to have occurred around Zenith Bank opposite Jabi Garage just this new year,in a rather disturbing scenario a customer was accosted by two gun wielding thieves disguised as Anti Robbery Policemen(SARS) immediately after withdrawing a substantial amount from the ATM when the robbers specifically demanded for the money he just withdrew and his ATM card and PIN identification then later took the victim to a distant location in unmarked vehicles dumped him there and went on a withdrawing spree from his account,unfortunately the victim was unable to get in touch with his bankers as the incident occurred on a Saturday and to make matters worse couldn't receive alerts as his phone was also stolen during the attack,a visit to the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Utako proved unproductive as they only confirmed that other similar cases have been brought to their notice with no headway,so guys be careful on this streets don't be a victim,don't withdraw large amounts in unprotected areas,lets hear your experiences if you've had any.
